What are Hedgerows Cattery opening times?Hedgerows offers boarding for cats every day of the year, but we are closed for arrivals, collections and viewings on Bank Holidays and over the Christmas / New Year break. Our opening times are: Monday to Saturday: Mornings 10am to noon | Afternoons 4pm to 6pm Sunday: Mornings 10am to noon | Afternoons closed Appointments for viewings can be made by phone (01508 480304) and are available during our normal opening times.

What is your policy on cat food at the cattery?From January 1 2025, we are asking owners to bring their cat's favourite food from home. This is to offset rising costs and help us maintain our accommodation service levels at the same price. If you forget, we will ask you for your cat's favourite brand and try to obtain it. We'll let you know the cost when you return to collect your cat.

Can I be added to a waiting list when you are fully booked?Yes. We are pleased to add customers to our waiting list when we're fully booked. Please use our enquiry form to give us your contact details, the number of cats you'd like us to board and the dates that you're interested in. If we get a cancellation that might meet your needs, we'll be back in touch with you right away.

When can I drop off and collect my cat?We operate two periods for drop off and collection each day except Sunday when we are open only in the morning. We are not open for drop off or collection on Bank Holidays or during the Christmas/New Year break. Our usual opening times are: Monday to Saturday - 10am to noon and 4pm to 6pm. Sunday - 10am to noon.

What vaccination certificates should I bring?We need to see vet's certificates against cat flu and feline enteritis on or before arrival. Proof may be emailed before check-in if that is more convenient.

Where is Hedgerows Cattery located?Hedgerows Cattery is located just off the A146 Norwich to Loddon Road. From the A146 turn into Mill Road and continue for about half a mile until you see our sign on the right hand side of the road. Our address is: Mill Road, Alpington NR14 7PQ. What does Hedgerows @ Home offer?Hedgerows @ Home is a specialist cat sitting visit in the comfort of your cat's own home, delivered by cat people who many have come to know and trust over the past 10 years and aimed at providing you with peace of mind: Hedgerows @ Home is fully insured. It's currently available to owners within NR14/15 or approximately 3 miles radius of Hedgerows Cattery. Often a preferred option for short term care, weekends or a couple of nights away.

How much does Hedgerows @ Home cost?Our daily visit charge is £20 per day and will cover up to 4 cats.

Which locations does the Hedgerows @ Home service serve?At the present time, and due to the rural nature of our location, we offer Hedgerows @ Home to a geographical area limited to NR14/15 which is approximately 3 miles radius of Hedgerows Cattery.

How does Hedgerows @ Home work?Our Hedgerows @ Home specialist cat sitting service works like this: Initial meeting A week or so before you go away we will come to your home and talk through your needs. We will discuss your cat's food, care and their quirky ways. We will also discuss any home security, key collection and safe storage. Our visits We will: Feed your cat(s) Change their litter Interact with them dependant upon their wishes. We like to get hands on if they are happy for us to, this gives us a good idea of their health and happiness.

What else should I know about Hedgerows @ Home?Things to note about our Hedgerows @ Home specialist cat sitting service All food, litter and cleaning products are to be supplied. Visit times and length are dependant upon each cat and their individual needs. We do not recommend this service for cats dependent on medication as we cannot guarantee that we will see your cat during a visit (unless your cat is confined indoors). We have a Hoofun automatic/Wifi-connected biscuit feeder that we can set up in the home to provide additional feeds. We are happy to feed other animals for you by prior arrangement. We will also be able to provide regular updates via WhatsApp, text or Facebook messenger.

What is the cattery's insurance cover?Our insurance covers vet's fees up to £1250 per cat per stay, subject to terms and conditions. Pre-existing medical conditions are not covered by our insurance policy and should be declared on your reservation request and confirmed on arrival. You are encouraged to obtain your own pet insurance before bringing your cat to Hedgerows Cattery, as by using our service you acknowledge and accept full responsibility for the payment or reimbursement of all veterinary fees and medical expenses arising during your cat’s stay that are not covered by our insurance policy.
